Aura Noir is a Norwegian black/thrash metal band from Oslo, formed in 1993 by Aggressor (Carl-Michael Eide) and Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe). Their music is influenced by bands such as Slayer, Sodom, and Kreator. They released their debut album, "Black Thrash Attack," in 1996, followed by "Deep Tracts of Hell" in 1998. In 2004, they released "The Merciless," featuring guest members from Darkthrone and Carpathian Forest. In 2008, they released "Hades Rise," featuring guest guitarists Danny Coralles and Blasphemer.
