Balimaya Project is a London-based mandé jazz ensemble led by djembe player Yahael Camara Onono. Founded in 2019, the group blends West African rhythmic traditions with London's jazz scene. Their debut album, "Wolo So," was released in 2021, followed by their second album, "When The Dust Settles," in 2023. Balimaya Project's music is characterized by strong polyrhythms and a fusion of traditional African sounds with modern jazz.
