Bill Haley & His Comets was an American rock and roll band formed in 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania. The group is known for hits like "Rock Around the Clock," "Shake, Rattle & Roll," and "See You Later, Alligator." Their music combined elements of rock and roll, rockabilly, and western swing. Between 1954 and 1956, they had nine Top 20 singles, including one number one hit. The band was a pioneer of rock and roll and influenced many later artists. Throughout their career, they released several albums, including "Rock 'n Roll Stage Show" and "Rockin' the Oldies." The group disbanded after Bill Haley's death in 1981.
