'Closing Time' is the latest album by the jazz ensemble Live Edge Trio, featuring pianist Ben Markley, bassist Seth Lewis, and drummer Andy Wheelock. Joining them on this release is the esteemed vibraphonist Steve Nelson, whom jazz critic Ted Panken described as "the most completely realized and original performer on the vibraphone." Together, they deliver harmonically rich and rhythmically engaging compositions reminiscent of the Modern Jazz Quartet, yet with their own dynamic interplay.
