DULCITONE 1804 is the fourth collaborative album by musicians and producers Adam Martin and Mark Slater, known as Nightports, and pianist-composer Matthew Bourne. Released on May 24, 2024, this unique album was created entirely using a rare 19th-century keyboard instrument called the dulcitone. The dulcitone produces sound when felt-covered hammers strike tuning forks, creating clear, bell-like tones reminiscent of a blend between a celeste and a piano. The album offers a captivating listening experience, where the delicate melodies of the dulcitone intertwine with Nightports' electronic treatments, crafting an atmospheric and dreamlike soundscape. DULCITONE 1804 is available on CD in a limited edition of 500 copies.
