'The Irish Seasons' is the debut solo album by renowned Irish violinist Lynda O'Connor, released on August 9, 2024. This album pairs Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons' with the premiere recording of 'The Irish Four Seasons' by composer Ailbhe McDonagh. McDonagh's composition, divided into four movements—Earrach (Spring), Samhradh (Summer), Fómhar (Autumn), and Geimhreadh (Winter)—blends Baroque style with Irish musical traditions, creating a unique and emotive experience. O'Connor, along with her carefully selected ensemble Anamus under the baton of conductor David Brophy, brings these programmatic works to life with remarkable expressiveness and precision.
