Description

French pianist Alexandre Tharaud presents "CONCERTOS: PÉCOU, LAZKANO, NANTE," featuring three contemporary piano concertos composed specifically for him. Thierry Pécou's "Cara Bali Concerto" draws inspiration from Balinese gamelan music, Ramon Lazkano's "Mare Marginis" explores new sonic possibilities of the piano, and Alex Nante's "Luz de lejos" combines baroque toccatas with meditative atmospheres. Tharaud collaborates with the Orchestre National de Lyon under Jonathan Stockhammer, WDR Sinfonieorchester with Sylvain Cambreling, and Orchestre National de Lille with Emilia Hoving. The album is available on CD from April 25, 2025.
