Cherryholmes was an American bluegrass band from Los Angeles, California, consisting of six family members: father Jere, mother Sandy Lee, daughters Cia Leigh and Molly Kate, and sons B.J. and Skip. Formed in 1999 after attending a bluegrass festival, the band quickly turned professional, earning the IBMA Entertainer of the Year award in 2005. They released four major albums: "Cherryholmes" (2005), "Cherryholmes II: Black and White" (2007), "Cherryholmes III: Don't Believe" (2008), and "Cherryholmes IV: Common Threads" (2010). The band received five Grammy nominations and performed regularly at the Grand Ole Opry. In 2011, they announced their disbandment to allow family members to pursue individual career goals.
