Denis Gäbel is a German saxophonist who began his musical career at a young age. At thirteen, he won first prize in the Young People Play Jazz contest in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1993. He studied in Amsterdam and New York, releasing his debut album "Keep On Rollin'" in 2007, a tribute to his idol Sonny Rollins. In 2013, he released "Neon Sounds," featuring eight original compositions and one by Charles Mingus. Gäbel is known for his individual sound and energy, collaborating with artists like Frank Chastenier, Dusko Gojkovic, and Billy Cobham.
