Douwe Eisenga is a Dutch composer born in 1961 in Apeldoorn. A self-taught musician, he began composing music for theater and film in the 1980s. From 1990 to 1996, he studied composition at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen. Notable works include "Requiem Aeternam 1953," performed on the 50th anniversary of the 1953 North Sea flood. In 2017, he released the piano piece "For Mattia" in memory of a deceased daughter of two parents.
