Enslaved is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson in Haugesund. They are known for their progressive approach to black metal and Viking metal. Their discography includes 16 studio albums, such as "Vikingligr Veldi" (1994), "Isa" (2004), and "Heimdal" (2023). The current lineup consists of Bjørnson (guitar), Kjellson (vocals, bass guitar), Arve Isdal (guitar), Håkon Vinje (keyboards, clean vocals), and Iver Sandøy (drums). The band has received five Norwegian Grammy awards and was commissioned by the Norwegian government in 2014 to create a musical piece celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution.
