Franco Mezzena is an Italian violin virtuoso born in Trento. He studied under Salvatore Accardo and graduated with honors. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at significant events across Europe, Japan, Africa, the USA, and South America. His notable recordings include the complete set of 29 violin concertos by G. B. Viotti and the complete works for piano and violin by L. van Beethoven with Stefano Giavazzi. Mezzena is also active as a conductor and educator, conducting masterclasses internationally. He plays on a 1695 Antonio Stradivari violin and instruments crafted by Italian masters.
