Helstar is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Houston, Texas. Their debut album, "Burning Star," was released in 1984 under Combat Records. They subsequently released "Remnants of War" (1986), "A Distant Thunder" (1988), and "Nosferatu" (1989). The band is known for their contributions to power metal and heavy metal. In 2016, they released the album "Vampiro," which was re-released in 2021 as part of the compilation "Clad in Black," along with new tracks and covers.
