Hugo Race, frontman of Australian post-punk band The Wreckery and former guitarist for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, collaborated with Italian producer Gianni 'Marok' Maroccolo, known from bands Litfiba, CSI, and CCCP. Together, they released the album 'The Vigil' in 2025, blending psychedelic soundscapes with experimental electronics and rock elements. The album was recorded between 2020 and 2023 in various studios in Melbourne and Tuscany.
