"Buenos Hermanos" is the second solo album by legendary Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer, released in 2003. This bold and confident album is firmly rooted in tradition while expanding the horizons of 21st-century Cuban music with its diverse repertoire and modern sound. In 2020, producer Ry Cooder revisited the original mixes and added four previously unheard tracks from the original recording sessions, creating a completely reimagined "Buenos Hermanos." The album features collaborations with Buena Vista stars such as Orlando 'Cachaíto' López, Manuel Galbán, and Angá Díaz, a guest appearance by The Blind Boys of Alabama, Ry Cooder on guitars, and the esteemed Chucho Valdés on piano. This special edition is available on 180g double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with new cover artwork featuring an alternative photograph from the original album shoot, and includes a booklet with English and Spanish lyrics and a new foreword by Ry Cooder.
