Illusion was a British progressive rock band formed in 1977. The group consisted of former members of the original lineup of Renaissance, including vocalist Jane Relf and drummer Jim McCarty. Their debut album, "Out of the Mist," was released in 1977, followed by "Illusion" in 1978. The band was known for their melodic compositions and rich arrangements, blending elements of rock and classical music. After releasing their third album, "Enchanted Caress," in 1979, the band disbanded. Their music remains a significant part of the 1970s British progressive rock scene.
