Itzhak Perlman is an Israeli-American violinist born in 1945 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv and later at the Juilliard School in New York. In 1964, he won the prestigious Leventritt Competition, launching his international career. Throughout his career, he has received 16 Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and four Emmy Awards. Perlman is renowned for his interpretations of the classical repertoire and has collaborated with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Pinchas Zukerman.
