Jarbas Mariz is a Brazilian musician, singer, and composer known for his work in psychedelic rock and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). In 1977, he released his debut EP "Transas do Futuro" under the Erla - Estudio Rauland label in Belém, which has become a cult favorite among collectors. Mariz collaborated with significant figures in the Brazilian music scene, including Zé Ramalho and Lula Côrtes, recording albums such as "Bom Shankar Bolenath" (1988) and "Rosa de Sangue" (1980). He was also a member of the Cátia de França band and a longtime collaborator with the legendary Tom Zé.
