Jean-Michel Pilc is a French jazz pianist, composer, and educator born in Paris. In 1995, he moved to New York City, where he formed a trio with bassist Fran01ois Moutin and drummer Ari Hoenig. Their album "Together: Live at Sweet Basil" was released in 2000. Pilc is known for his solo recordings, such as "Symphony" (2023) and "Parallel" (2018). He has collaborated with artists like Richard Bona, Michael Brecker, and Roy Haynes. In 2002, he received the Django Reinhardt Prize from the French Jazz Academy.
