Jeff Buckley was an American singer-songwriter known for his unique vocal range and emotive expression. After moving to New York in 1991, he gained attention through his performances at the Sin-é café. In 1994, he released his only studio album, "Grace," which includes his rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." The album received critical acclaim and achieved platinum status in the U.S. Buckley began working on his second album, "My Sweetheart the Drunk," but tragically drowned in the Wolf River in Memphis in 1997.
