Knudsen/Rudzinskis Space Big Band is a Berlin-based contemporary jazz big band founded by Danish bassist Kenneth Dahl Knudsen and Latvian saxophonist Toms Rudzinskis. Their debut album, "Space Big Band," was released on October 22, 2021, under the Double Moon/Challenge Records label. The album was nominated for New Jazz Name of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Jazz and Best Jazz Album at the Latvian Grammy Music Awards. The band's music is inspired by space and its exploration history, combining electro-acoustic elements with a modern jazz sound.
