Lacrimas Profundere is a German gothic metal band formed in 1993 in Waging am See. Their name translates to "to shed tears" in Latin. Initially starting as a gothic death-doom band, they later transitioned to a more mainstream gothic rock/metal style. Notable albums include "Memorandum" (1999), "Burning: A Wish" (2001), and "Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts" (2006). In 2016, they released the concept album "Hope Is Here". The band is known for their melancholic melodies and atmospheric sound, with influences from bands like HIM and The 69 Eyes.
