Land of Talk is a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal, formed in 2006 by singer and guitarist Elizabeth Powell. Their debut EP, "Applause Cheer Boo Hiss," was released in 2006, followed by albums "Some Are Lakes" (2008), "Cloak and Cipher" (2010), and "Life After Youth" (2017). The band is known for its emotive sound and has collaborated with members of bands such as Stars, Arcade Fire, and Thee Silver Mt. Zion.
