The Lijadu Sisters were identical twins from Nigeria who formed a musical duo active from the mid-1960s to the 1980s. Their music blended elements of Afrobeat, reggae, and pop. They released several albums, including "Danger" (1976), "Mother Africa" (1977), "Sunshine" (1978), and "Horizon Unlimited" (1979). They collaborated with artists such as Fela Kuti, Orlando Julius, and Ginger Baker. Known for their harmonious vocals and energetic performances, they moved to Brooklyn, New York, in the 1980s to continue their musical career. In 2019, one of the twins, Kehinde Lijadu, passed away.
