Lone Star was a Welsh rock band formed in 1975 in Cardiff. The band released two studio albums: "Lone Star" (1976) and "Firing on All Six" (1977), which reached 47 and 36 on the UK Albums Chart, respectively. Their music blended elements of hard rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal. After the departure of vocalist Kenny Driscoll in 1977, he was replaced by John Sloman. The band disbanded in 1978. In 2000, "Riding High - The Unreleased Third Album" was released, featuring previously unreleased material.
