Marissa Paternoster is an American musician and artist known as the lead singer and guitarist of the band Screaming Females, active from 2005 to 2023. She also leads her solo project, Noun. In 2021, she released the album "Peace Meter" under her own name, collaborating with Andy Gibbs of the band Thou, Shanna Polley of Snakeskin, and Kate Wakefield of Lung. The album was recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, with all musicians recording their parts remotely.
