Masaru Imada is a Japanese jazz pianist and composer, born on March 21, 1932, in Tokyo. After classical music training, he began his professional career in 1953 with clarinetist Eiji Kitamura's band. In 1964, he formed his own trio, and in 1984, the fusion group Now'in. Notable albums include "Maki" (1970), "Green Caterpillar" (1975), and "Planets" (1977).
