Max Jaffe is an American drummer, improviser, and composer known for his innovative approach to percussion. As an early adopter of Sensory Percussion technology, he has expanded the possibilities of drum kits into new sonic territories. He was a member of the experimental rock collective JOBS and a founding member of Amirtha Kidambi's Elder Ones. Jaffe has collaborated with artists such as Chrome Sparks, Rubblebucket, and Cass McCombs. His solo albums, including "Giant Beat" (2019) and "Reduction of Man" (2024), blend elements of jazz, electronic music, and experimental rock.
