Mortem is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1989 by Marius Vold and Steinar Sverd Johnsen. Their debut demo, 'Slow Death' (1989), was produced by Euronymous, with cover art by Dead of Mayhem. After releasing this demo, members went on to form influential bands such as Arcturus and Thorns. In 2019, Mortem released the album 'Ravnsvart', marking their return to the scene. In 2022, they issued a special edition of 'Slow Death', featuring newly recorded and reworked tracks alongside the original 1989 demo. The products available from the artist Mortem include CDs.
