Parálisis Permanente was a Spanish post-punk band formed in 1981 in Madrid. The group consisted of Eduardo Benavente and Ana Curra, who were previously members of Alaska y los Pegamoides. Their music blended elements of punk, gothic rock, and new wave. Their 1982 debut album "El Acto" is considered a seminal work in the Spanish post-punk scene. Notable tracks include "Quiero ser santa" and "Autosuficiencia". The band disbanded in 1983 following the tragic death of Eduardo Benavente in a car accident.
