Peter Donohoe is an English pianist born in 1953 in Manchester. He studied at Chetham's School of Music, the University of Leeds, and the Royal Northern College of Music. In 1982, he achieved joint victory at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, launching his international career. Donohoe is renowned for his versatility and technical proficiency, with a repertoire spanning from classical to contemporary composers. He has collaborated with prominent orchestras and conductors worldwide, and his discography includes recordings of works by composers such as Messiaen, Bartók, Prokofiev, and Rachmaninoff.
