Rokia Traoré is a Malian singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for her unique blend of traditional African music with Western styles such as rock and folk. Born on January 24, 1974, in Kolokani, Mali, she is a member of the Bambara ethnic group. She has released six albums between 1998 and 2016, including "Mouneïssa" (1998), "Wanita" (2000), "Bowmboï" (2003), "Tchamantché" (2008), "Beautiful Africa" (2013), and "Né So" (2016).
