Ryo Fukui was a Japanese jazz pianist born in 1948 in Biratori, Hokkaido. He began his musical career as a self-taught pianist at the age of 22. In 1976, he released his debut album "Scenery," recorded at Yamaha Hall in Sapporo. This album features tracks such as "It Could Happen to You" and "Early Summer." Fukui was known for his style that blended elements of straight-ahead jazz and cool jazz. Throughout his career, he released several other albums, including "Mellow Dream" (1977) and "My Favorite Tune" (1994). He passed away in 2016 in Sapporo.
