Sarathy Korwar is a US-born, Indian-raised drummer, percussionist, composer, and bandleader based in London. He began studying tabla at the age of ten and later moved to London to continue his studies at SOAS. His debut album, "Day To Day" (2016), fused traditional music of India's Sidi community with jazz and electronics. His second album, "More Arriving" (2019), combined Indian hip-hop, jazz, and spoken word, reflecting the experiences of the Indian diaspora in Britain. This album won Best Independent Album at the AIM Awards in 2020. In 2022, he released "KALAK," celebrating the rich South Asian musical culture and literature.
