Sonic's Rendezvous Band was an American rock group from Ann Arbor, Michigan, active between 1974 and 1980. The band comprised Fred "Sonic" Smith (MC5), Scott Morgan (The Rationals), Gary Rasmussen (The Up), and Scott Asheton (The Stooges). During their tenure, they released a single titled "City Slang" in 1978. Their music, influenced by punk and garage rock, gained recognition for energetic performances and raw sound. After disbanding, members pursued various musical projects, with their impact on the rock scene enduring to this day.
