The Creation was a British rock band formed in 1966 from the former group The Mark Four. Their music, often labeled as freakbeat, blended mod and psychedelic elements. Notable tracks include "Making Time," "Painter Man," and "Biff Bang Pow." The band was known for guitarist Eddie Phillips' innovative use of a violin bow on the electric guitar. Despite their brief original tenure, they influenced many later artists and remain a significant part of British rock history.
