The dB's is an American rock band formed in 1978 in New York City. The original lineup consisted of Chris Stamey, Peter Holsapple, Gene Holder, and Will Rigby. Their 1981 debut album, "Stands for Decibels," is considered a seminal work in the power pop genre. This was followed by "Repercussion" (1982) and "Like This" (1984). The band disbanded in 1988 but reunited in 2012 to release "Falling Off the Sky." The dB's are known for their influence on the 1980s alternative rock scene.
