The Jazztet was a jazz sextet co-founded in 1959 by trumpeter Art Farmer and tenor saxophonist Benny Golson. The group was known for its precisely structured and soulful hard bop compositions. Notable albums include "Meet the Jazztet" (1960), "Big City Sounds" (1960), and "Another Git Together" (1962). The ensemble disbanded in 1962 but was revived in 1982 with Farmer and Golson at the helm. Throughout its existence, the group collaborated with prominent musicians such as McCoy Tyner and Curtis Fuller.
