The Mayfield is a musical ensemble formed for Heiner Goebbels' music theatre piece "Everything that happened and would happen." The group is named after the Mayfield Depot, a disused railway station in Manchester where rehearsals took place. Their music blends acoustic and electronic elements, including percussion, saxophone, prepared piano, Ondes Martenot, and an electric guitar equipped with digital sensors. In January 2022, they recorded 95 improvised pieces at La Muse en Circuit, a Parisian studio specializing in electro-acoustic music. These recordings were compiled into the album "The Mayfield," released in August 2024 by Intakt Records. The products available from the artist The Mayfield include CDs.
