The Seekers were an Australian folk-pop group formed in Melbourne in 1962. The original lineup consisted of Judith Durham (vocals, piano, tambourine), Athol Guy (double bass, vocals), Keith Potger (twelve-string guitar, banjo, vocals), and Bruce Woodley (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals). The group achieved international success in the 1960s with hits such as "I'll Never Find Another You," "A World of Our Own," "Morningtown Ride," "Georgy Girl," and "The Carnival Is Over." Their musical style blended elements of folk and pop, appealing to a broad audience. In 1967, they were named "Australians of the Year." After several hiatuses and lineup changes, they continued performing and recording until 2022.
