Tommy Smith is a Scottish jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator. Born in Edinburgh, he began playing the saxophone at a young age. In 1981, he received a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Upon returning to Scotland, he founded the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and became its artistic director. Smith has released several albums, including 'Step by Step', 'Peeping Tom', 'Standards', and 'Blue Smith'. His music incorporates elements of jazz, contemporary jazz, and jazz-funk.
