Upupayāma is the musical project of Italian multi-instrumentalist Alessio Ferrari, who resides in a small mountain village above the city of Parma. His music is deeply influenced by Eastern and Western folk traditions, blending psychedelic rock, acid folk, and world music. The debut album, "Upupayāma," was released in November 2020 and later reissued on vinyl in 2021. Subsequent albums, "The Golden Pond" and "Mount Elephant," continue to explore these sonic landscapes.
