Verckys & L'Orchestre Vévé was a Congolese music group led by saxophonist Georges Mateta Kiamuangana, known as Verckys. The band was active in the 1970s and was known for its unique style that blended funk, afrobeat, and rumba. Notable albums include "Dynamite Verckys" and "Congolese Funk, Afrobeat & Psychedelic Rumba 1969-1978". Verckys was also a significant producer and entrepreneur in the Congolese music industry, discovering and supporting several important second-generation bands such as Les Grands Maquisards and Bella Bella.
