In the early hours of Good Friday 1960, The Modest Jazz Trio recorded their sole album, 'Good Friday Blues'. This impromptu session captures the easygoing chemistry between Jim Hall on guitar, Red Mitchell on piano, and Red Kelly on bass. The album features Mitchell's original compositions and renditions of standards like 'Willow Weep For Me' and 'I Remember You'. Released as part of the Tone Poet Vinyl series, it was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
