Zem Audu is a saxophonist, composer, and producer born in Nigeria, raised in London, and currently residing in Brooklyn. His debut album, "Spirits," was released on June 16, 2017, under Origin Records. The album features 11 original tracks blending jazz, funk, and soul, with contributions from guitarist Mike Stern, pianist Benito Gonzalez, bassist Ben Williams, and drummer John Davis. Audu has collaborated with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Jason Moran, Hugh Masekela, and the legendary Skatalites. "Spirits" was recorded at Avatar Studios in New York and received positive reviews for its innovative fusion of genres.
