Description

In 1782, Mozart regularly attended the salon of Dutch diplomat van Swieten, where he was introduced to the music of Bach and Handel. This experience profoundly influenced his creative and compositional style. On the album 'An Afternoon in Van Swieten's Salon,' renowned pianist Keiko Shichijo performs works by Mozart, J.S. Bach, and C.P.E. Bach on an 1802 fortepiano, authentically capturing the musical atmosphere of that era. This CD, released on April 4, 2025, is presented in an O-Card package and offers listeners a unique insight into Mozart's musical transformation under the influence of Baroque masters.
