Game Theory was an American power pop band founded in 1982 by singer-songwriter Scott Miller in California. The band was known for combining melodic jangle pop with experimental production and literary lyrics. Their most notable albums include "Blaze of Glory" (1982), "Real Nighttime" (1985), "The Big Shot Chronicles" (1986), and "Lolita Nation" (1987). After the band's dissolution in 1990, Miller continued his musical career with The Loud Family. In 2020, the compilation "Across the Barrier of Sound: PostScript" was released, featuring previously unreleased recordings from 1989 and 1990.
