Sinkane is the stage name of Ahmed Gallab, a Sudanese-American musician who blends elements of krautrock, prog rock, electronica, free jazz, and funk rock with Sudanese pop. Born in London, he grew up in Sudan before moving to the United States. Prior to his solo career, he worked as a session musician with artists such as Caribou, Yeasayer, and of Montreal. As the musical director of the Atomic Bomb! Band, he performed the music of Nigerian funk musician William Onyeabor. His notable albums include "Mars" (2012), "Mean Love" (2014), "Life & Livin' It" (2017), and "Dépaysé" (2019). The products available from the artist Sinkane include CDs.
