Sonny Rollins and the Contemporary Leaders is an album by jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins, originally released in 1959 by Contemporary Records. On this album, Rollins collaborates with notable musicians such as Hampton Hawes (piano), Barney Kessel (guitar), Leroy Vinnegar (bass), and Shelly Manne (drums). This reissue, part of the Acoustic Sounds series, features (AAA) lacquers cut from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI, and presented in a tip-on jacket. The release date is February 14, 2025.
