Description

'Irreversible Entanglements (IA11 Edition)' is a reissue of the avant-garde jazz ensemble Irreversible Entanglements' debut album, originally released in September 2017. This album captures the first performance of the quintet comprising poet Camae Ayewa (Moor Mother), bassist Luke Stewart, saxophonist Keir Neuringer, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro, and drummer Tcheser Holmes. Their music is a powerful blend of improvised free jazz and spoken word, drawing from the East Coast free jazz tradition and echoing the works of The New York Art Quartet and Amiri Baraka. This edition features a 140g black vinyl housed in a heavyweight jacket with an 8-page insert booklet containing unpublished photos and new liner notes by bassist Luke Stewart. The vinyl was pressed at Pallas in Germany and includes the new 2025 obi strip from International Anthem.
